I actually want to take the time to address the health care professionals and politicians of the world. Don't care if they're listening, cause, you know; obviously they won't be; but seriously...
If Cigarettes and Alcohol are known to be dangerous to your health and dangerous to the health of the people around you, how come they're legal? Alcohol is known to inhibit the part of our brain that makes rational decisions, yet it's still legal while pot is vastly illegal in most states and on a federal level. These two combined easily kill 10x as many people as guns kill a year, yet they're still fucking legal and there is no other use for them other than killing yourself slowly and putting others at risk.
Percocet; a pain-killer; and Methodone; which is used as an anti-addiction and for people addicted to opioids; are both legal and legitimate medications that doctors prescribe people, yet both are very addictive and habit-forming and the long term health issues related to using them are just as bad if not worse than what they're used for. Yet, the downsides of using these medications is significantly underplayed while drugs that AREN'T government controlled, such as meth, cocaine, crack, speed, etc. are all significantly overplayed to stress the risks of such to children.
American hypocrisy at its finest; not to mention definitive proof that our government and corporations couldn't give two squirts of piss about the population so long as they can gouge us for our money at the expense of our lives.
Weed is illegal throughout most of the US, yet it has more curative properties than not, is not very addictive, and actually stimulates philosophical thinking and peacefulness. Just seems backwards to me.
From subconscious to conscious; from conscious to word; from word to pen; from pen to paper; from paper to eyes; from eyes to conscious; from conscious to subconscious. Insanity is a state of mind which every human suffers from, but few realize their own insanity or the insanity of those around them, for some forms of insanity are considered to be the norm. Mankind has chased insanity since the dawn of our existence and now we see it staring us down; our demons unleashed from Pandora's Box at our own curiousity's request; those that come before us setting the pace for our insanity by following the paths of those that came before them and them before them. Our suffering; entirely our own creation, though far removed and the creation of a different generation; when will we waken from our cooperative nightmare and begin to truly experience life as was first intended?
